Motus Nelspruit MULTIFRANCHISE have opportunities available for an APPRENTICE (AUTOMOTIVE MOTOR MECHANIC/ PETROL). This is an exciting opportunity for individual who is willing to train and qualify as a motor mechanic and need to build a career as a skilled technician in the motor industry.
We need a suitable Applicant to participate in all aspects of the apprenticeship program, including helping with the repair of vehicles while working under the supervision of a qualified technician, fulfilling the MerSETA requirements of the trade, mastering level tests, and qualifying in a maximum of 4 years.

Job Position Overview
To participate in all aspects of the apprenticeship programme; assisting with the repair of vehicles while working under the supervision of a qualified technician, fulfilling the MerSETA requirements of the trade, mastering level tests, and qualifying within a maximum of 4 years.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled technical or level training courses and to help with the repair of vehicles in order to get practical experience under the supervision and instruction of a technician.
- Thoroughly Prepare for level tests in order to qualify win the maximum of 4 years and Help with housekeeping, keeping tools and equipment clean and in good order, and keeping the work area clean.
- Follow workplace safety and conduct rules and protocols and Perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have Grade 12 and Subjects should include pure math and physical science; a minimum pass mark of 50% per subject is an advantage.
- Valid, unendorsed driver’s license, Must have a clear criminal record and Mechanical insight and technical aptitude is important. Skills and experience in this area will be advantage.
Knowledge and skills required:
- Expertly able to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment or a computer in order to access information and Physically fit for heavy work and ability to physically complete the duties associated with the role.
- Enjoy working with your hands and ability to work in noisy environments.
- Have good vision and hand-eye coordination and Possess a strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and motor vehicle fault-finding skills.
- Mental alertness and Must have good English communication and writing skills to accurately record findings and work conducted on job cards and access repair information in OEM bulletins and online systems.
- Meticulous and accurate, team player, Energetic and action-oriented.
