Dis-Chem Pharmacies is always seeking trainee junior managers to expand their pool of strategic talent for their different outlets and at the moment, we are looking for more. Job Descriptions and Goals of the role
You will assist the store manager with all necessary operations of the store, including managing staff members and being responsible for store targets, maintaining inventory by checking the merchandise to determine inventory levels, and preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a Grade 12/Matric and a Minimum of 5 (five) years’ retail/FMCG experience in all retail departments: Receiving, Administration, data capture, Till Operations, Cash Office, Sales Floor, and client service, and at least a minimum of 3 (three) year’s management or supervisory experience
- Computer literate: MS Office and retail operating systems and must be Willing and able to work retail hours
- must have a Valid driver’s license and Own reliable transport
The requirements will be added as an Advantage
- Relevant retail/FMCG qualification and Working understanding of SAP
- Basic understanding and application of human resources and industrial relations.
Job Specifications And Duties
- Control, manage, and ensure that all orders are done daily and are done on time, maintain the accurate stock levels, and manage stock flow to the floor.
- Prepare, coordinate, and manage stock takes on a biannual basis in conjunction with the store admin manager and store manager, and manage the shrinkage.
Client Service
- Regulate all client compliments and complaints, and client requests and complaints must be addressed properly and followed up on in time. Provide clients with feedback regarding queries and complaints on time.
Management
- Manage day-to-day human resource administration, including but not limited to leave, hours of work, and scheduling, and help the store manager with corrective action when needed. and make sure that the workers receive planned training and request feedback from workers who have attended training, as well as to manage the performance management process and make sure that personal development plans are adhered to.
Sales Floor
- Make sure that all merchandisers adhere to Dis-Chem Merchandising Standards and that promotional stock and displays are planned, implemented, and properly maintained. Adhere to every labeling, pricing, and layout standard, and make sure that merchandisers adhere to these standards, Make sure that all store targets are achieved.
Competencies
- Store retail administration and management experience, relating to receiving, admin, capturing, till operations, cash office, stock control, sales floor and client service, Strong command of the English language and Basic financial skills GP, mark-up, VAT, etc. Effective interaction with suppliers, management, reps and staff
- strong analytical skills and time management, manage, develop, and motivate subordinates, and must be Trustworthy and honest
- Basic IR and management training, Basic Accounting understanding, and presentation of leadership
Special conditions of employment
- Must be Willing and able to work retail hours and Local travel (valid driver’s license and own reliable transport), must be a South African citizen and have Clear credit and criminal records
