Salary ranges from R405 200 – R769 900 Ref: SIA/05/24
The Minimum Requirements
- The successful candidate must hold a 3-year qualification or equivalent degree, majoring in statistics, mathematics, or finance.
- minimum of 5 years relevant experience in data analysis.
Key Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Analyzing the consumer credit market by analyzing statistical returns from registered credit providers and credit insurers and collating, validating, and analyzing insurance and credit provider data.
- Monitoring of trends relating to the key drivers of credit, credit consumption cycles, price, competition, and different types of credit products.
- Analyzing statutory credit life insurance and Building and maintaining relations with relevant stakeholders.
Knowledge and Skills
- Good knowledge of the National Credit Act (NCA) and Statistics, mathematics, finance, and economics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills The candidate must be computer literate and possess good financial analysis skills.
- Analysis of financial statements and Extensive knowledge of short- and long-term insurance acts.
- Extensive knowledge of various credit life and other policies and Good knowledge of insurance ratios.
- MS Excel and PowerPoint presentations, and Knowledge of insurance terminology
- Strong research skills Organizational skills and relationship-building/management skills.
- Self-starter and ability to work independently.
